How we work

One partner, from day one to daily use

Most clients start with education or advice, then grow into the build. There are four ways we work, you get one team accountable across all of them, and every engagement is shaped around your business.

01 · Educate

Get your people fluent

Most AI spend gets wasted because people never really adopt the tools. That is a people problem, and it is the one we solve. We run plain sessions for the leaders who are quietly lost, and we train each department on the workflows they actually do, with playbooks they can use the next morning.

You keep the assessments and the training after we go, so the fluency stays in the building.

Wayfinding lines pointing forward — mapping where AI pays off
02 · Advise

Find where it pays off

This is usually the front door. We map what you already have, find where AI has quietly crept in, and rank the few opportunities worth pursuing by impact. You leave with a transformation roadmap and an adoption plan you can put to work that week.

The most useful thing to come out of the first conversation is often a straight diagnosis, and the business case for your first AI hire.

03 · Build

Build only what pays off

Build is what comes out of Educate and Advise, not a product we sell off a shelf. Once we know where AI actually pays off for you, we build exactly that.

It can be small, like an internal tool that takes the friction out of a job your team does every day. It can be larger, like a company brain that holds your institutional knowledge in one place, the kind we built for our own studio, Up Strategy Lab. We build inside the tools you already use, design for the running cost from day one, and you own what we build, so your data and your knowledge stay yours.

04 · Sustain

Keep it working

A system that works in month one drifts by month six if no one tends it. So we stay. We watch how the tools get used, tune and maintain them, and keep your people up to speed as things change. You own what we build, and if you want us to keep it running, that is a clear retainer you agree up front.

We would rather be the team you call than the deck you filed.

How we start

The first step
Discovery

A small first step

A short, low-risk discovery. You see how we work, and we understand your reality before anyone commits to a build.

Pilot

Prove it where it counts

We start where the value or the risk is greatest, ship something real, and show it working.

Scale

Expand with a clear price

Implementation broken into packages with clear costs, so you set the pace and nothing is a surprise.

Common questions

FAQ
We already pay for Copilot or ChatGPT. Why do we need you?

The licences are the easy part. Value comes from knowing what to use AI for, getting people to change how they work, and building it so the economics hold up. That is the gap we close, and it is where almost all the wasted spend hides.

What happens in the first engagement?

A short, fixed discovery that maps where you are, the opportunities worth pursuing, and the risks worth managing. You leave with a prioritised roadmap and a clear sense of cost.

Do you lock us into specific tools?

No. We are independent. We help you get value from what you already have and recommend what is genuinely best, model by model, across Anthropic, Google, OpenAI and whatever you already run.

Who owns what you build?

You do. You own the systems we deliver. Maintenance is a priced retainer if you want it, and we are clear about that up front. We do not sell shelf products.
